The free MST Trolley runs daily from Memorial Day weekend through Labor Day (10 am–6 pm), looping between Downtown Monterey, Fisherman's Wharf, Cannery Row, and the Aquarium every 10-15 minutes. Park once in the Tyler Street garage downtown and use the trolley for the waterfront area — Aquarium parking is expensive and scarce. The 18-mile Monterey Bay Coastal Recreation Trail is fully paved and flat, connecting Pacific Grove through Cannery Row to Marina. Bicycle rentals are available from multiple vendors along the path — biking is often faster and more enjoyable than driving the waterfront stretch during peak season.
